About
Breanne Rising (she/her), MA, LMFT
Relationship Coach + Consultant + Couples Intensives
I’ve been working in mental health since 2007 in a variety of settings: group homes, schools, non-profit administration, college counseling and private practice. My experience highlights work with mixed-neurotype partners, LGBTQIA+ folks, parents of young children, and adults raised by abusive caregivers. The people I work with are resilient, thoughtful and intuitive. Many identify as neurodivergent. My approach is transparent, deep and client-centered. I draw from humanistic approaches, neurobiology, attachment and systemic psychology.
I bring my personality with me – I am practical, honest and open-hearted. I value simplicity. My style is casual, direct and interactive. I’m obsessed with the power of loving relationships. I believe that conflict is a beautiful opportunity for closeness and healing. I’ll invite you to reflect on what is, while experimenting with new patterns of thought, action and emotion. I strive to create a supportive space where you can share openly, and gain new insight, while improving communication and boundaries.
Sometimes lived experience matters. Here are some of my more salient identities: queer, European American, parent, first generation college grad and spouse. After nearly twenty years in the Bay Area, in 2022, I took our practice fully online. I remain lovingly connected to my Northern California networks as we grow.
